Victim Link

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 13, 2026

This policy covers victimlink.com, operated by Victim Link, a Palo Media Group LLC property. It does not cover an attorney's or law firm's own services; they handle your information under their own policies.

What you give us

The case check form asks for the type of accident, the accident date and state, whether you were hurt, fault and police-report answers, whether you already have an attorney, your name, ZIP code, a short description, phone number, email, and your request to be contacted. Please don't send Social Security numbers, insurance policy numbers, ID documents, or detailed medical records.

How we use and share it

We use your answers to process your request and to connect you with participating law firms and their intake teams, and with legal marketing companies that work with law firms. Whoever receives your request may contact you by phone or email about it. We may be paid for this. Sending a request doesn't guarantee a match or representation.

Service providers that help us run the site handle information for us: website hosting (Vercel), lead processing, consent records (TrustedForm), and site analytics (PostHog). We may disclose information when the law requires it. The form does not sign you up for text-message marketing.

Consent records

The form uses TrustedForm, a service of ActiveProspect, Inc., to record how the form was completed, including the consent language shown and the answers entered. The description box is masked. The certificate goes to the law firm or company that receives your request, so it can verify that you asked to be contacted.

Analytics, storage, and cookies

Our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type, and the time of each request. On victimlink.com we use PostHog to count page views and form steps (for example, "step 2 viewed" or "request sent"). PostHog gets your IP address and browser details and stores an anonymous ID in a cookie and local storage. We do not send it your name, phone, email, or accident answers, and we don't record your session or keystrokes.

If you arrive from an ad, session storage keeps campaign identifiers (like UTM tags or an ad click ID) and attaches them to your request. Clearing your browser storage and cookies removes them.

Your choices

You can leave without sending anything. If someone calls about your request and you want it to stop, tell them, or reply STOP to a text. To ask what we have about you, to correct or delete it, or to use opt-out rights you have under state law, email us. Rights and exceptions depend on where you live.

Security and retention

No online transmission is completely secure, so send only what you're comfortable sharing for intake. We keep records as long as needed to run the service, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
